19:0640338Has anybody ever heard of these, or remember them in Dover around 1961/62? They were American, and there were a few of them who came round the door at that time, and coming onto the forum here has somehow made me remember them as I realised much later that they must have been a religious sect. They held baseball games on the green along Sheridan road on the Buckland estate, and sometimes at the end of it, they`d throw one cent coins about which we eagerly went for. They started after a while doing a church service, in which they had a dormobile of some sort, and taking us to a church hall which I believe was out Temple Ewell somewhere`s. Anybody got any memories of it?

15:3440402You`re right there Howard, and I`m sure the South American indians lead a much more interesting, and useful life. The one`s I mentioned though, are from the U.S. That`s all I get on the internet Jeane, this spiritual tribe from South America, plus a religious sect in the U.S. which maybe them, but no details of how long they`ve been going.

16:0940403Strangely enough I saw a couple of Mormons in the car park at Morrisons last week. As usual there were two of them and equally as usual they were "Elders" but didn't look old enough to shave!

21:2740439Blimey, Mormons in the Morrison's car park, and Morons trying to drive up Whitfield Hill, even when the police closed it because of an accident caused by the snow and ice. Exciting times in Dover at the mo.

02:2440464I was going to drive up Whitfield Hill in the early hours of Thursday morning Sid, when that blizzard was raging, on my way home from work. At the bottom was a sign saying POLICE ACCIDENT in the centre of the roundabout at the bottom, and 3 cones standing apart with enough room for a lorry to go through. Because of the deep snow covering the mini roundabout, you couldn`t tell which road the accident was, Whitfield Hill or London Road. Also, whether or not it was just a warning of an accident ahead. Why didn`t they put a ROAD CLOSED sign up?
