Watched them arriving this morning, the ground was drier than I thought it would be after the recent rain but nothing seemed to be churned up.

Excellent. Dover's yearly chance to increase its gene pool.

Covering their backs well with our claim culture. not sure why anyone with back or neck problems would want to go on such a ride.

It is not without reason that the Buckland Post Office has stopped bothering to stock Father's Day cards!

The sun brought out our thirsty brethren earlier, sitting on or standing near the benches closest to the entrance "effing and blinding". Security guards can't do anything outside the fair itself and police persons are a rarity nowadays. Not very nice for parents with young children running the gauntlet.

Must have been some party last night, the river bank and river itself to the side of the fair playing host to drink cans and fast food containers in great quantities this morning.

£1 a go! Good god, I remember when Wednesday afternoons was 10d (yes 'd' , not 'p' ) a go!
And it was packed every day!
Happy days!
