Cricket, now I remember Geoffrey Boycott, try telling me that he was not boring to watch in a Test Match; You could fall asleep between one ball and another with that man. I am not a lover of the game far too slow, yes even boring, but hey when England are playing I will watch and want them to win, which is why I cannot understand people who do not like football still wanting their National team to do well.
As said prior we all have likes and dislikes and we all have a different idea of what is boring but when on earth did football become just for the working class. Snobbery if ever there was a statement.
Funny this thread is clearly about a footballer and the game of football but so many who do not like the game have a comment or two or three or even five.
Anyway I will be at Crabble for Dover's next game, me and another 1000 or so poor working class. I no longer go to the big match's as one thing I do agree about is that top class football is far over the top with finance and it is slowly killing the game. However you have to have some reality in that it is only the top clubs that have the big players who get thousands a week, you cannot tar all the clubs and players with the same brush.
John Terry is one of those who is far overpaid by a club who spends money like water, but I will support him and the rest of the England team when they run out in South Africa. To get back to the original post, John Terry's private life is just that and it should never stop him putting on that England Shirt as a player and Captain.
