  Certainly Anne Widdicombe hasnt been tainted by any corruptive practices and would be good but she only wants it until the next election which is too short term, she will fail on account of this self imposed handicap. Sir George Young is my favourite for the job. He is an old school Tory and as I understand it he hasnt been through too much muck and mire re expenses, not that I recall anyway. So good luck to him.
  
  The other frontrunners seem to be Margaret Beckett and that Bercow chap. Although I used to be a fan myself personally of dear old battler Margaret, she showed some contempt for the public recently over her expenses and I didnt like that aspect to her. Bercow I know but not too well but there seems to be many in favour of him.
