    Its not a matter of deprivations Roger - this is to do with the impact of public spending cuts which will fall disproportionally on some areas that are more dependant upon public spending and public sector jobs. In some parts of the north well over 60% of the economy is dependant upon the public sector compared to nationall about 48% (rising to 52% if no action is taken). The south east as a whole is dependent to a lot lower extent, that includes Dover. Like I say this is not about deprivation, its about the impact of public sector cuts.
