Gordon, you may be interested to learn that the Channel Dash Memorial on Dover seafront is regularly the attention of those visitors (local and from far afield) who pass by the monument each and every day. It amazes me that the memorial is not just the subject of passing curiosity but is frequently studied with regard to the text and inscriptions thereon that recount the events of 12 February 1942.
As I know you are well away from us here in Dover I thought that you, Mr David McFarlane and the family of Intelligence Officer Mr Morley-Brown who attended the recent service might be interested to know of the continued and past interest the memorial receives.
I trust you had a decent journey back to Yorkshire despite the weather. We were lucky on the day.
Patrick
