ok ian, a few details here.
i walked through pencester gardens yesterday evening, there was a lot of shhouting , screaming and punches being thrown.
i stood there for a few moments, purely for amusement value!!
just the usual suspects, then i noticed a baby buggy, nervously i went over to the altercation, found two "*****" fighting over the top of it, liquid being spilt, the air was blue.
i looked in the buggy, there was a boy about 18 months old shaking like a leaf.
i tried to calmly reason with the 2 gentleman and 3 ladies there, that the baby was frightened.
i got the expected response!!
i dialled 999, gave a message that said "altercation, pencester gardens, dover, baby in danger", the reply was we need to take down some details.
naturally i disconnected my mobile at that point.
the town was running alive with police, working on the carnival.
after 10 more minutes, i admit, i got scared, and went down to a bus shelter to regain my composure.
after another 20 minutes the 3 stooges arrived, i was later advised that they were "specials" by another member of this forum.
they naturally let everyone go.
if baby in danger meets with this response, what will they do about old ladies murdered outside the bingo hall?
i apologise for being melodramatic, but i woke every hour during last night, thinking about the baby in pencester.
