The Wellington dock in the background here, together with a ferry berthed, sometime in the 1950s. A `C` class steam locomotive in the foreground together with a Ford Popular(?) car. A picture taken by the Rev. AWV Mace, who travelled the length and breadth of the country photographing steam from the 1920s to 1960s. I think this picture was taken not too far from the roundabout along Snargate street, with the turn off roughly opposite towards the present swing bridge and clock tower. Thanks for the book Tony Jayms, and there were two others in it from Dover. PAUL. Nice shot above mate.
