while there`s a country lane. A favourite wartime song, and we`re still surrounded by a number of them. This one I walked today after a morning in Deal. Some out there will recognise it I`m sure, with Dover castle in the distance. Out towards St Radigunds Abbey, and pick up Minnis Lane a few miles on, and come out at Coxhill Gardens at River. Can anyone give me an idea of mileage at all? It was a long and pleasant walk, and my first up there since 1962, when me and my school chum met a man chipping away at the chalk up there for fossil`s. There are many pleasant secluded walks in and around Dover if you`re prepared to look.
Tell them that I came, and no one answered.
