  I am pleased to see the back of targets as they were - they were more hindrance than help, created by peole with no idea about the real work. However, I am concerned that they are being scrapped without anything in their place, such as Quality Targets, more centred on the experience of service users. Such as was the GP pleasant? Was the receptionist helpful? Without some standards and goals the services will quickly deteriorate - hurrah goodbye to old targets, but lets have some quality measures and audits to keep the standards up.
