Yes that is right hopefully this Sunday,as I missed last week's show as I was at work, but High Meadow the land owned by Dover Town Council is on as they have some new horses up there, these horse are being used to keep the grass short. Some of them are pregnant. These horses I believe are unusal.
High meadow also gives you some of the best views of Dover,so Sunday 11.00.Tower Hamlets the Heart of Dover.

That's good news John - how did they hear about it ?
Someone must have contacted the program-makers about these special horses.

Yes, at the Fairtrade meeting our Deputy-Mayor the lovely Sue told me quite excitedly about these fine horses, I must make the time to go and see them.

What is the history of these Konik horses? Are they related to shetland ponies?

I see one of the Konic Horses has had a foal, and I understand from Paul Wilmott from The White Cliffs Countryside Project a second is also due about now.if you haven't seen them go up to Hospital Downs,Park near Marek Mansions at the top of Tower Hamlets.

saw that in the paper john, wish i had been there on easter monday to see the foal staggering around, wondering what world he/she had entered.
i understand that the horses have done a good job keeping the vegetation down.

Nice little ceremony up at High Meadow last Saturday to name the second new foul of the year with a competition, arts and prizes. Sadly there were few attendees as it was rather overshadowed by Dock Rock and the weather took a turn for the worse. Thanks to the WCCP, Wild Wood, Anita, Melanie, Sue and everyone else for turning up and making for a pleasant afternoon!

lknew about this Phil but was at work 07.40 to 19.40 andspoke to Paul about it he had very little response from any of the schools and Paul didn't realise it was Dock Rock because he wanted to be there as well.
Alison and I delievered 500 leaflets in Tower Hamlets today telling everyone that read the leaflet about the new arrival.I know Paul who runs the site wants as many people to visit as possible it will help keep down any anti- social behaviour.
