I have often wondered how those deli counters in supermarkets survive, I use the one in Morrison's and get a few slices of liver sausage or similar every week - never comes to more than around 40 pence. They have to weigh and wrap it and they must get a lot of waste and there is never a queue for the counter.

I must change the time for my visit even at about 10.00.am I end up with a couple of people before me. Thinking of your cheap liver sausage I buy in a week, ham and ox tongue or other meat, olives and occasionally the sausage rolls from the hot side, plus the cheese from near the bakery, so all from the deli counter. I hope the deli and the bakery do not close I do not want these items prepacked in an amount that is wrong for me.
