Brian, Maison Dieu had queuing traffic at 4.00 outside a friend's house, it woke her up.
For one reason or another those of us who live or work in the town suffer road problems whenever the port is busy this is becoming past being a joke. It is not just the public who get affected but Ambulance Service and Fire Brigade as well so this recurring problem also could endanger life.
The solution is relatively simple police every road into Dover from midnight prior to the expected busy day to stop ferry traffic entering the town. IF there are no problems by around 9.00 those involved could be stood down.
