Sadly yes, because none of the parties, media etc are prepared to have a sensible, adult conversation about immigration. They all resort to sound bites, back stabbing, muck raking, stirring up the malcontents & blaming everyone else for the perceived problems rather than accepting even a modicum of responsibility for finding a pragmatic lasting solution.
