Two new P&O Ferries

  The names of the two new ferries being introduced later this year/early next by P&O Ferries has just been announced:
  
  Olympic Spirit
  Olympic Pride
  
  I quite like those names, seems to embrace a welcome to the 2012 Games. I shall miss 'Pride of Dover' and 'Pride of Calais' though, especially as Michelle & I got engaged on the former on Christmas Eve 1991. Happy day (very drunken day!).

  The Dover and the Calais are showing their age now though and P&O haven't had any new vessels for quite some time. The last one was the Burgundy I think. With Norfolk line having three new ships and even SeaFrance with two (and one new old one) P&O must have been feeling left out!

  When the old Dover and Calais are gone and the Olympics gone and forgotten, I am sure that they will rename the new ones Dover and Calais again
