If this latest news isnt the green light for the rest of us NOT to pay fines then I dont know what is!?
I was relatively recently fined £80 for not declaring SORN on my off the road motorcycle. It was off the road, not interfering with anyone, yet up turns this blasted fine. I tried to contact somebody, anybody, about the situation but there just isnt anyone there anymore. Staff already down to threadbare level so how anyone can cut the damn staff levels even further I dont know. You just have to pay up and shutup even though I had a case for a hearing.
If I knew no one else was paying then I woulda kept the money and spent it on wimmin and drink!
