EQUALITY SCHEME - YOUR VIEWS SOUGHT
Dover District Council has issued a draft Equality Scheme for consultation with local residents and businesses and your views are sought. The scheme will last for three years and will start from 1 April 2009, replacing the existing three year scheme.
Cllr Paul Watkins, Leader of Dover District Council has stated in the foreword to the new scheme that: "Dover District Council is committed to equality in every aspect of its service provision and its responsibility as an employer."
The deadline for comments on the draft Equality Scheme is 9 February 2009. Copies can be seen on the DDC website at

WALKING FOR HEALTH
We all know the benefits of walking, well now we can walk with other people, not on our own.
Take the loneliness out of exercise, by joining the "Walking for Health" group, it's FREE and the walks are always interesting and obviously good for you.

MEET AT 10.00 FOR 10.15 START AT DOVER DISCOVERY CENTRE.
EACH WALK IS A MAXIMUM OF 60 MINUTES.
AFTER 4 WEEKS, YOU'LL GET A FREE RUCKSACK; FREE STEPOMETER AFTER 8 WEEKS.
