  Old Speckled Hen beer is named after a car!
  
  It's true, the MG factory in Abingdon had it's own vehicle, affectionately known by the locals as "Old Speckled 'Un" due to its colour scheme of gold and black.
  
  Old Speckled Hen was brewed by Morland's to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of the MG factory.

  Play on words Howard, "Un" becomes "Hen". I suppose we have to make allowance for the fact these folks are basically in the West country, oo arrrr.
