I have a friend who would like to be a vote counter at the upcoming election. Does anyone happen to know who to apply to and the procedure?
Thanks.

i may be wrong phil, but my understanding is that it is council staff doing a bit of moonlighting that do this job.

I'm doing a day's work at a Polling Station, Phil, and the count staff are recruiting too. You need to contact Electoral Services at DDC, Whitfield. Last I knew they were short of Polling Clerks, Polling Station Supervisors and Count Staff as well. You may have to get your skates on though - my training day is next week and that was the latter of the two days offered to me.
True friends stab you in the front.
