The superb Forties Street section of the White Cliffs Experience was flogged off for next to nothing to the Plymouth Dome where they stored it in packing cases with a view to re-erecting it elsewhere in the City where they could do it justice.
The Plymouth Dome visitor centre opened in 1989 and had more than 2.3 million visitors before it closed in 2006. The collections were transferred to Plymouth City Museum.
It has now been reopened by Gary Rhodes as a restaurant named Rhodes @ The Dome.
