at around 5.30am by the helicopter hovering over Dover for quite some time.
I had a look out of the window but could not get a clear view of it but I did have the impression of a large chopper, perhaps a twin rotor Chinook.
I wondered if it was to do with G20 security, packed with electronic surveillance equipment and it was monitoring the arrival of a national leader, perhap Sarky, through Dover.

I was out with the dog Barry. It looked like the Essex Police chopper to me. I tried to take a picture but there was too much camera shake, obviously too much Hungarian wine last night!
The camera spotted an infra red glow underneath it though. Perhaps Obama had come to Dover for a paddle.

I left home at 05.30 and I could here it at Goodwin Towers,as I cycled down the road it appeared to be over Park Avenue/Salisbury Road and was there until I cycled past BarryW place, then it sped off at high speed.I wondered if they were keeping an eye on Barrys money. It was obviously looking for someone/something.

But yes indeed there has been a Chinook hovering about in the past week. Here is a picture of the noisy beast, noisy but exciting, it doesnt half rattle the old bone china when it goes overhead!lol

Great photo Paul.Very dramatic. Rumour has it that the Chinook is on a search and rescue mission for JHG's wallet!

Thanks Marek re photo. It looks better when reproduced larger but thats the biggest we can go. Its fairly easy to get a picture of the Chinook as you get plenty of warning when its coming...I did anyway..the vibration was sooo bad that the Renoir fell straight off the wall and smashed the Rodin!!

That wasn't a Chinook the other morning,I have seen the Chinook flying over Goodwin Mansions several times heading for Paul Boland's pet house luxury exclusive pad.
