Thanks Brian. I have used the Coop in River on a few occasions when in the area. But it hardly compensates for a store within walking distance in town. The Coop thrived on in-town shops where those without cars could walk or use public transport. It was their bread and butter. Whilst I know that shopping habits alter and need to be catered for, leaving the town without a Coop is not good - and I have made my view known to MidCounties when they enquired as to why I had not voted at their AGM.
