I had the above mailing in from BT. I dont know about the rest of you but I hate these ads. They are akin to chinese torture.
Scrapping them completely and giving the money to a cancer charity could be the best plan...allthough I suppose thats naive. These great coporates need to keep their name on our lips so forget the charity idea, they wont be stepping out of the advertising rat race anytime soon.

Every time I see one of those ads I keep hoping that 'Adam' (I didn't realise they had names) will come to his senses and dump the b*tch.
Politics, it seems to me, for years, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong.

They are TV ads Howard...following the couple in soap tradition and showing night and day, as of course BT have a vast vast budget at their disposal to spend on such frivolities, as they are another company with a license to print money at all our expense.
lol Vic !!

Some times we both put a mask on to look like that.
Can we vote that whilst on a balcony enjoying their BT computer connection, said balcony collapses and they both fall into the road somewhat injured. However, on staggering to their feet and into each others arms a BT van comes whizzing round the corner and flattens both of them. End of story! Hows that? ( at least it would end this stupid nonsence once and for all )
I wouldn`t want this to happen in real life of course, just in the advert!

brillaint stuff john, i hate the ad without even seeing it.
seems like one of those gold blend ads from years ago, or worse ferrero rocher.
Howard, now you are spoiling us!
John, brilliant!
In my version we would see the bloke racing home to see his lady only to be told, "Honey, you were away so long playing with geek stuff, I've got myself up the duff with the Talk Talk engineer. Now pi$$ off back to the West Country!"
Can I say that?

I agree with you I would willingly support a multinational if I knew that some of their profits went to a worthwhile cause rather than being wasted on expensive marketing agents and TV adverts.

I think therefore I am (not a Tory supporter)
From BT:
1. In the 2009 financial year BT donated £25 million - in time, cash, and in-kind contributions - to initiatives
that support society. BT's Volunteering Programme has seen BT volunteers contribute more than 20,000 days to local
charities and communities. BT aims to invest at least one per cent of its pre-tax profits in community and environmental programmes; a commitment that it has held throughout the global economic downturn.
2. BT has extended its community investment programme in India sponsoring two schools, KITES in Govindpuri, and St Crispin's in Pune.
BT makes no profit from its charitable fundraising activities - every penny generated goes to the charity concerned.
In its 2009 financial year the appeals supported by BT raised an astonishing £130 million.
End of moans perhaps?

Fair comment Sid. Thanks I stand corrected,

That's ok Marek.
One day even our own governments will understand just how great BT are at what they do. A visit to their research site at Martlesham in Suffolk is a big eye openr. I went their about 15 years ago and today most of the "off th ewall" stuff they showed me is now bing used globally with revenues into the BT coffers.
It annoys me greatly that plonkers like Hesseltine bent the deregulation laws away from BT and towards what he described as the small Baby Bells of America who the Tories wanted to provide competition for BT. In his rush to make that happen he overlooked the fact that the smallest Baby Bell was about tn times the size of BT!!!!!
Anyway, that's history now, but I remain a fervent supporter of BT.
