    Sue - I agree with you that this is another example of the apparent bias of the "ruling elite" on DDC.

    We desperately need the toilets in the town centre, connaught park and on the sea front repairing and renovating, we also need regular patrols checking said facilities to stop the petty vandalism that occurs with alarming regularity. They are currently an appalling advert for the town.

    Of course Sandwich and Deal need to have decent public toilets as well, but £70k seems an awfully large sum of money for toilets - you could buy one of the 15 properties in Dover currently advertised on rightmove for less than that sum
