In late June the town was bereft of flower baskets etc. See my earlier thread "Where have all the flowers gone"
A couple of weeks ago some were planted up.
The Dover Society has been lobbying DDC for planting the planters as well as hanging baskets. Dover Society originally contributed to the trees in the planters.
I am pleased to see the planters have been re-planted and the hanging baskets are looking bright.
Upon checking with DDC I am informed they paid in full for the replanting of planters and hanging baskets so MANY THANKS DDC for brightening up our town.
The Castle Street baskets looking fine as we maintain these ourselves and thank DTC for their contribution to ensure this lovely street looks welcoming to visitors
(Note whilst watering Castle Street baskets on Sunday morning an American lady said how nice to see the flowers and thanked all volunteers in Dover for doing the tasks..she says the same problem exists in the States.

I had contacted the Horticultural department at DDC about the black flower tubs and was told that they were replanting them and when ready, they'd bring them down into Town.
Sounds like they've now done that. I'll take a look tomorrow.
