  I noticed the flats after my posting..and I owned a house on Hardwicke Rd ..the one built by Mr Skalski @ number 7.
  
  I lived there when the Orange Tree was thriving,when Jack the Cypriot had the chippy,Kelvin,nice lad,had the butchers and the bakery was open selling its freshly baked bread on the premises. Old misery guts had the post office with Mary who satarted as a paper girl and still working there 50 odd years later. The Hare n Hounds hadn't been modified and was run by the old couple whose name escapes me..good old days..ah nostalgia
