  He's back! Dave C that is, he was making what he called his 'monthly' statement. I've never heard it called that before, every blimmin week it felt at one time. He didnt have much to say and was just showing his face coz he's been missing. He did say that he is setting up an economic recovery committee with his mates, which worryingly for Osborne included Ken Clarke, but was asked after he'd rattled on for ages about his new pet talking shop why he was only doing it now. He looked a bit silly and then looked rattled when another journalist asked if he shouldnt be further ahead in the polls at this time if was doing as well as he said. He tried to address the bonus culture in the banks issue but then wobbled and waffled. A poor showing really but at least we know he'll be back in a month's time. Mind you when he's taking, along with the BBC, Sky News and Talk Sport [Talk Sport?], questions from someone from Conservativehome it does make you wonder how long serious hacks will turn up to these briefings when they know he's got the answers ready.
