I saw that Cameron said this week at a press conference that he is setting up an economic recovery committee. A journalist asked why if it was important he was only doing it now. I say press conference but when you see that those present included Talk Sport and someone from Conservativehome it does make you wonder.
I also think that Cameron's line this week on comprehensive schools and the suggestion that he wants to be seen as a progressive may be the turning point of his political direction between now and the general election. He cannot be a progressive, be understanding of social issues etc and be at the same time a hardline Thatcherite.
