We have had another meeting to set up a acting Committee so that we can start up the New White Cliffs Greeters,the Acting Chairman is Mary Griffin,with yours truely acting Vice Chairman.
Interviews will take place on the 06th/07th/and 08th January 2009 for volunteers,if you are intrested in becoming a meeter and greeter in Dover Deal or/and Sandwich.
Greeters is a global network which allows visitors to the Area to meet with someone that knows the area,and will pass on thier knowledge to the visitors.I am sure many of you would like to help our visitors.They will contact the Tourist Infomation Centre approx 14 days in advance and the persons intrests will be matched by the greeter.
This was started succesfully in Thanet a couple of years ago and we are the second area to go green with an official launch on 23 March.
It is being financed by Kent Tousism and hopefully in the coming few years will be County wide.
