Back to Whitfield and taking it back a little further - The Times 26th June 1911:
"The European Circuit.....a hugh bonfire on the Dover Cliffs will guide the airmen to the coast, and huge arrows will point the way to the aerodrome opposite Archers Court, Whitfield Hill"
The Times 18th Sept 1911:
"The Dover Aero Club will hold it's first aviation demonstration at the new aerodrome , Whitfield Hill near Dover on Wednesday, and Tursday afternoons where Mr H Barber will give exhibition flights"
The Times 13th June 1912:
"Lord Camden, Lord Lieutenant of Kent, yesterday afternoon opened the Dover Aero Club's new Club House and ground at Whitfield"
