When I was there I got talking to the main ArchitectMr Robert Adam,I told him aswell as the D,D.C. that there is not alot of support for this development to go ahead, and W,A,G, and the local public are up in arms with the D.D.C. because the Council will not take in what they are saying,I do understand how they feel after my up and downs over Folkestone rd, and that the Planning dept just do what they like.

I thought this "exhibition" was a complete farce - there was nothing about the development of Whitfield at all. A PR exercise if ever I saw one........
True friends stab you in the front.

Andy you are right, and yes I told them so,I have keep the copy of the report I gave to them,in the end they did tell us it was not the masterplan after all,I went on to tell them that the water supply might not take that amount of Developmentof over 6000 new homes ,they had not looked into that and said if that was the case then the development would not go ahead, but the parish council did say they were told by the water company that the water supply was OK till the year 2030,but I still think that the water company are not telling them the whole facts but time will tell.I also went on to say about the Esso site and what was to become of that, again they did not know and the list goes on and on.

i have been to many presentations especially from the harbour board, i give most a wide berth now.
nice colourful pictures and charts, well written prose presented by smart and cheerful young people.
after a while cynicism sets in, one realises that "consultations" and "forums", more often than not ask the fact that decisions have already been made.
the sole intention is just so that people have a say and think that someone has been listening.
