I'll put you out of your misery. The film in question is the War Game, partly shot in Dover and banned by the BBC for years.
The lady is none other than Kathy Staff aka Nora Batty!

I recognised Mr Dale,he was one of my teachers at Astor during the seventies,his wife also taught there.I think he retired around the time i left about 1979.The film War game was about a nucleur attack and much of it was made at the Western heights at the old barrack blocks.The film is on Youtube and well worth watching,i think it was made around the mid sixties just before the buildings were demolished.

Yes I didknow that I was in his class at Astor in the 1950s he was good at giving the old sipper on the backside.

Alan was my first colleague on DDC until he died ,a great shock to us all.I was going to clarify it with hid wife before I posted his nameYes she was also a teacher.Lovely family.
