  I have a meeting at around the time the first results will come out but I will be keeping a regular eye on the web media outlets and I have been promised a text with news.
  
  Thanks to the count being moved to 9am and out of Dover I am missing my first major count since 1974. At a time when we need more of a sense of excitement and to generate more genuine interest in the political process this is a bad move. OK it saves money but we really have lost the sense of history the Town Hall provides and the 'immediacy' and excitement you get while the count is done straight after the polls close. Its not worth the saving of cash.

  No news of our results yet but accordingly to Andrew Neil the results are looking worse for Labour than expected.
  
  
  Just look at the Herts results, a clean sweep for Conservative but just look at the BNP results, beating in some Wards Labour and Lib Dems, 2nd in some places. that is not a welcome development.
