  I took a trip to Canterbury last weekend to check out Wilkinsons and cast an eye over what they get up to there tourist wise. The Wilkinsons shop looks very good. I have to be honest I hadnt heard the name before til it was mentioned on here. I live a sheletered life far away from the shopping precinct clearly. But Wilkinsons as it transpires would be a terrific replacement for Woolworths in our own central area here, so hopefully it will come to fruition. We desperately need to keep inner Dover afloat. Wilkinsons would help greatly. So fingers crossed on that. With Morrisons too...my gawd are we on the up!!?...no DTIZ but maybe we are beginning not to need it, beginning not to care, as it failed to deliver when we needed it most.
  
  Just a brief word on the tourism thing...Canterbury have it sussed. Busload after busload arrive, but there is lots to offer. Shops to die for...I hadnt realised quite how good it was as havent been there in years. I was right beforewhen I advised Roger not to push Dover's shopping to the affluent cruise visitor...as its so poor. One cant be blinkered even in a good cause.
