You could always try to contest the fine stating the poor notice for disabled badge holders on the sign.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

Contest the fine Vic and lay it on with a trowel. Seriously.
You've always parked there in the past and were too busy helping wife out of car to read new notices etc etc.
(Top Tip - DON'T say that having driven there your eyesight is so bad you didn't see the notices
)

My wife was down at the sea front today and spoke with a traffic warden about disabled parking.It would appear that either side of the road outside Hythe bay restaurant you have to pay,disabled or not.The signs there say that although in very small letters.Anywhere else on the seafront is ok with a disabled badge.Thats what she was told so hope that is correct.

It does seem a bit stupid.I didnt find out but i would imagine that the car park on the site of the old Dover stage would have disabled spaces and possibly you can park anywhere else in the car park as long as you display a blue badge,that rule seems to apply in most DDC car parks.Not sure about the one next to the marina curve,i,ll try n find out if i,m that way tomorrow.I dont like the way the signs are worded especially as i mentioned,the small print which could easily be overlooked.You can only use the Ringo parking app in some places,no coins,seems purposely geared up just to catch people out.Nothing like using the motorist to extract as much money as possible,parking,road tax,etc,etc.

And do not park on the road outside the toilets, because again you will be getting a parking fine, it could only happen in Dover.
not even if you have a blue card.
