Woke up this morning cars and houses with a covering of snow but roads and pavements clear I believe some places higher up like Mount road in Maxton didn't escape.

The smattering of snow was so very deep near the Girls Grammar that my disappointed great granddaughter could not even find enough to make a simple snowball.

Having just looked at the weather forecast my carer tells me she is keeping her fingers crossed for a hard frost and a good few inches overnight.

Trains services across our entire network will be affected by a 50mph speed restriction from midday to 17:00.
Coastal routes between Ashford and Ramsgate and between Hastings and Battle will be subject to a 50mph speed restriction from 10:00 to 17:00.
- High Speed services between Ashford and Ramsgate via Dover Priory will be diverted via Canterbury West between 10:00 and 18:00
- An additional shuttle service between Dover Priory and Ramsgate will run between these times.[/U]
