    Wives are getting pushed due to two factors:

    1. The media want to thrust these ladies upon us.
    2. The media is hoping to create a Michelle Obama effect with one of them.

    So, Joe Public doesn't really give a hoot about these ladies, but the media is thrusting them at us at every opportunity. Hardly surprising then that they are ahead in the item count is it?
