Now that large parts of Eastern Europe belong to the e.u., I envisage that these countries' borders will be opened to mass immigration from Asia and Africa, and that within five years of being resident, tens of millions of settlers will be receiving an eastern European passport. Hopefully this will put an end to any return of a Cold War between East and West, and that we will be able to reduce military spending, and decide internationally to do away with nuclear missiles.
Also, this mass influx of people into Eastern Europe will open up the markets for British exports to these countries, as Asian and African families tend to have a high birth-rate and soon there would be hundreds of millions of them in Eastern Europe, and this might resolve our economic problems. Unemployment in the West might be mightily reduced, and the western state-debits might start rapidly falling.
So, yes, let's hope that in Brussels the laws become equal for all e.u. member states and that we see many, many people emigrating from other continents to Eastern Europe. May-be western European banks could invest money into building millions of houses in the East for this purpose, and this should bring in a handsome return once the interest is added, or the rent collected from western estate-renting companies. There must be potential investors in the West to finance this!
I am surprised that the e.u. Parliament and commissioners and commissars and New Labour in the past never proposed this; not to have done so is not what we British call fair play, and I hope that Britain's new Government will propose and actively promote equality of laws in ALL e.u. states concerning mass immigration. In fact, we have had our share, now it's the turn of the eastern e.u. states!
It would also be nice if many millions of western Europeans could go and settle in eastern Europe, and work there too, so may-be we will be seeing western banks purchasing land in the East of Europe for farming, as well as for building houses, and we will be able to export tractors and milking systems to eastern Europe, to milk the cattle where the grass is most lush. Hmmm! I must go and have another coffee, and slowly enjoy this idea!
This morning I skipped through town to draw my money and went to pay the rent! Later I shall go and do the weekly shop. Now let me see... Hmmm!

No I have not! What do you mean? Please explain! Do you mean to tell me that Britain and other wester e.u. countries must accept mass immigration and give milions of jobs to eastern Europeans, and that eastern e.u. states are excempt from both of these!

Correction, excempt from giving jobs to western Europeans, as well as to millions of people from other continents!
Alexander D,
It would appear by your ramblings that you have finally flipped. I have no love for immigration but I do not go on and on about it You really need to sit down and think about ,what I can only describe as a vendetta against all those hordes of mythical immigrants.

Jimmy, now you ARE being a hypocrite! So! One law for the West, another for the East! Jimmy, when you speak and do hypocrisy, YOU are wrong, and not me!
