  Many of us me included have complained about the behaviour of yoofs, but think on the case of Kate Nesbitt a 20yr old sick berth attendant in the Royal Navy, she is now the the recipient of the military cross for gallantry i Afghanistan for going forward under fire to treat wounded marines. WELL DONE LASS.

  Thirded!!! How proud the parents must be of their daughter.
  
  We (meaning me!) tend to over generalise about the 'yoof' (sic) of today but it's only a small minority that spoil town centres,parks,nights out,ride on pavements,pick fights,use coarse languge,spit,take drugs,binge drink,throw up on streets,cause a disturbance,keep vicious dogs on ropes,father underage girls then abandon their offspring(s),won't work and lack respect. Phew! (pause for sharp intake of breath). The problem is it's a growing and increasing minority and that worries me.Look at the recent demo's.
  
  Maybe the answer is conscription?? I would have hated it but tough times call for tough decisions.

  Yes indeed, fully agree.
  
  Pity we don't have more role-models like her for the young women of today, to look up to and inspire - seems the only aspiration most of them have, is having a baby and a free flat.
