  Interesting picture..didnt somebody say once that trains used to run along the seafront here. I think I remember it might have seen it in one of your pictures Scotchie.

  Was from the Admiralty Lookout at the Castle.
  
  Yes, there used to be a line right along the seafront. My pic was a very lucky catch - so no, I am not a lorry spotter !!

  Trains did indeed used to run along the seafront from Dover Marine station to where the Eastern Docks now is.
  
  My grandfather, who was also a driver of the Golden Arrow, used to drive them.
