Yes I think it was probably around 2004 or maybe a year or two later when a lot of the dentists left the NHS. Not sure of the year but my former dentist in Castle St did it...so I suddenly found myself a private patient. I mentioned it on the forum and the newspapers rang me up for a quote..I gave them one but kept the name low profile for fear of 'the double molar revenge of the dentists drill!'
But who can forget those scenes on TV showing people queueing round the block to sign with the rare species..an NHS dentist. To be politically neutral for the moment I think the current government are probably following along on that repair path started by Labour.
Ah, Colette we posted at the same time...yes indeed re NHS/Private services.. i think Panorama did a program on that.
