RED Lion was the pub I used most nights on the way home from work at the D.E.W I was very young then just out of the Army and was buying a home up Kingsdown rd on the Freedown .All my family come from the bay with some shops still owned by my family and house,s at the top of Bay Hill but I do not live there now I miss living out there but very hard to get to work when I was young no bus,s running at 0400hrs.But we still drive out there to have a look around ,The family are all in the graves at the church and we have a war grave there to.
