I think we are seeing the last few years of our Royal family as we know it. There are none members of the royal family to follow the Queen when she dies or packs it in. Not one of them has the respect of not only the UK public but the respect of the Commonwealth and indeed the world like our Queen has got .Her own family bar one and that is princess Ann her own sister like the Queen has earned respect from all of us . Prince Charles lost the publics respect of the public over his treatment of princess Diana . Then we move to Prince Andrew, not only has he let the Queen down but again lost respect over the way he went and acted over the case of the sex case . And the list goes on and on with prince Edward going to the U.S.A. and speaking about his own family. I see that when the Queen dies many countries that fly the Union Jack as partof their own flag will drop it and adopt a new flag without the Union Jack on it. We have a great Queen who has been very loyal .But she is the last one.

If Vic is going to post ramblings he could at least get some of his facts right.
The Queen has stated often enough she will not "pack it in", her sister was happy go lucky Margaret, her daughter is Anne, Harry lives in America.

#1....What a load of driveling nonsense...True we have had the benefits of a long reign...Like Elizabeth 1st. She was, actually childless. However the Monarchy survived and carried on...Unless, heaven forbid we become a Republic....imagine President Blair or the like...or Kim Jong-un or, indeed Mr Putin.....who replaced the Tsars etc....
We have a good bunch in the Cambridge's, and they have enough children to take up the baton..
Harry and Andrew will bob up and down in the wings....where they belong.
This is tribal...it is our way of life...it is tradition.
We are a free nation...loads of history ....unique in the World....
Long may it continue...

Sorry about getting their names wrong, part of getting older I am told
any way would like to think I am wrong in this case but time will tell ,I am a royalist always have been but the family has let the Queen down and more then one of them. And yes Ann is her daughter and she is the last of the royal family as we know it.AGAIN YOU ARE RIGHT about the prince of Cambridge and his family but will the other countrys like Canada and Australia ,New Zealand and others give them the time it will take to get their respect and stay with the Union Jack I fear that is a no.

Yes it is definitely a "pain in the arse" being old, both of us are nearly 80, but it is important to post the correct facts when so many people in this country and also abroad can read them.

'One of the highlights will be the performance of the Coronation Choir, a diverse group drawing together singers from the nation’s community choirs, including refugee choirs, NHS choirs, LGBTQ+ singing groups and deaf signing choirs.'
If this is one of the highs, how low are the lows?
Cringe mixed with shame and served with a double helping of servility.
Can we restore the monarchy, please?

At least there's one from the younger generation to take over from Princess Anne who we all know as our 'hardest working (sic) royal'.
From Hello Magazine so it must be true:-
'Princess Eugenie has been hard at work this week. Having opened the Britton Centre at Wilson's School in Sutton last week, the royal has now been seen at the World Economic Forum (commonly known as Davos)'.
(The Davos snow report is: 16 out of 18 Lifts open. 55 of 95.5 km of pistes open. Our model predicted that 5cm (2.0 inches) of snow fell over 42 hours between Friday 20 of January at 4PM and Sunday 22 of January at 10AM CET at the mid mountain level. Compacted depth will be less. Davos Piste State: Powder).
Nice.
