Very ambitious and spread over the whole district which will need a small army of enforcers.

"However, national human rights group Liberty accused the Conservative-led council of "airbrushing the streets"."
I would not call it airbrushing I would call it common sense (however difficult to enforce) but maybe Liberty approve of all the anti-social behaviour that the majority are fed up seeing

Good luck with the intoxicating substance one given how rife the public smoking of pot is.
As for the ones aimed at the homeless, perhaps making ample provision to support the homeless and get them into accommodation would be a better thing to do, as it stands all that will happen as we have seen with the beggars is an influx from Folkestone to Dover, which of course isn't then Folkestone's problem...

What do we class as anti social behaviour? The chuggers and beggars in Folkestone are not aggressive at all in my experience and most of the drunks and druggies we have here are just a pain in the bottom but not a threat to anyone outside of their circle. Fining rough sleepers for being destitute is frankly ludicrous especially as they have no money to pay them.

I class anti-social behaviour as people doing things that irritates or annoy the majority of people, seems I am a lot less tolerant than Howard.

Totalitarianism comes to town. The media and politicians would have it that the threat to freedom comes from 'radical Islam', the 'hard Left' or the 'extreme Right' (all fatuous characterisations in any case), but if truth be told the pervasiveness of means of surveillance and enforcement show that it is already here in the ideology and policies of the 'mainstream' and being enacted incrementally by 'democratic' means, as there's enough of us who're either too stupid to notice it's happening, or have been gulled into believing it's all for our protection.

I have no problem with surveillance in the form of CCTV as it clearly deters low level crime and plays a major part in solving major crimes. I don't think we live in an Orwellian society and have no concern about an operator seeing me scratching my bottom in the town centre.
