It would be more helpful surely to find out what's in 'fried chicken' where the faintest whiff turns members of some 'communities' into a mad stabby frenzy. #BlackKnivesMatter

Is it too much to assume that the 'positive stories' on the inside lids of chicken boxes (and I'd like to know how beating someone about the head can be construed as in any way 'positive', even if it is legal) will remain unread and end up in a bin (or in the road) with the inedible parts of said poor chicken (inevitably leading to more sodding 'seagull' complaints). Better to print a health warning. Better still to have made the stories collectable, and awarded a stay in a 5* abattoir to see the chicken 'industry' in full swing to anyone who posted off their 10 lids to Priti Patel: that would certainly provoke a gut response.
Incidentally, I'm white, I've not eaten chicken for 40 years and I've never knifed anyone. So I guess there's something in that racist trope after all.

Racist? No. It’s people upset by realising that the cap fits and they are wearing it.

La Abbott and her associated political pygmies are right that this is a waste of time and will not address the issue of knife crime particularly amongst the black communities that are blighted by it. The problem is not eating greasy fried chicken, though there might be something in the fact that there is a clear causal link between the number of independent fried chicken emporia and urban deprivation, but perhaps it has more to do with the prevalence of gang culture, failing schools and poor attendance at said failing schools etc.
Or perhaps I have missed the bandwagon
Or could it be I dont get it "coz I is white"

On reflection, I think this gastronomic approach to criminality might have a wider application. I'd suggest trialling it on a couple of established eateries, say Gordon Ramsay in Chelsea and Alain Ducasse at the Dorchester. It wouldn't be too difficult to find some accounts of high-class Damascene conversions delicately suggestive enough to accompany the truffled chicken quenelles or Guinea fowl blanquettes; they could even be printed on paper wraparounds to slip nicely over the neck of a bottle of Montrachet Grand Cru or a zesty Clos d'Ambonnay. I'm certain there are many miserable tax dodgers, undeserving Lords, Ladies and royals (is that a tautology?), MPs on the take, corrupt financiers (is that one too?), pimps, slavers, public school gangsters or Jeffrey Epstein associates that need only the little nudge provided by a 'positive story' to turn their lives around and become happy contributors to the social good.
