Simple really just look at the reports from responsible members the site and act accordingly, the fact the owners have now closed it down speaks volumes.

That suggests sensible members reported his last post in the five minutes he took to start shooting up the synagogue, before that his posts were just hate filled bile but protected by the free speech banner under which gab.com presents itself.
Incidently the owners haven't taken it down the internet hosting platform have.

The trouble is that if someone is a member of one of these sites the chances are the members will not report 'nasty' posts as they will agree with them.

Most websites and forums have an admin team and I would have thought that one of them would have realised that this man sounded dangerous and reported him to the police. A few seconds spent on their computer would have told them that he owned 21 guns including an assault rifle.

Owning 21 guns in the USA would mean nothing as that is the norm for some in that gun loving country.
With regard to Howard's admin comment. How can someone know the difference between the usual ranting hate posts to one where the writer is serious in a group that is made up of extreme fanatics including the admins.
