John passed away at 05.20am today 06/05/2021.
A good friend & shipmate, shall be missed by friends & Family.

Oh dear that's sad news, he was a good old boy.
It must have been a good 15 years since his stroke?

Hi Karlos,
I was a mate of John's since 1967, I've always kept in touch since moving to Australia in 1973.
When coming home for holidays, we used to meet and have a pint or two. It was 5 years since last I saw him in the care home in Folkestone.
I used to phone him on a regular basis and have a chat, even though he couldn't speak, he was able to communicate, with a few grunt's and the odd F word, poor guy.
He ended up having throat cancer, I did manage to speak to him a week before his passing.
