    One way would be to cut down on the number of pointless 'managers', years ago the hospital wards only had two grades of nurses, staff nurse and sister. Maybe time to be a bit like Morrisons did a few years ago, not one job lost (unless by choice) just the title was gone therefore money must have been saved.
