On the other hand, I expect the Pope would cough up were his Church not so impoverished. Of course, the restoration of Our Lady of Paris is now a political rather than a purely architectural project, as Macron seeks to fashion a 'unifying' narrative and use it to rebuild his own crumbling and ravaged structure.
