    No surgery is pointless, whether it is necessary is a different matter.

    I have had two of those listed and both have significantly improved my quality of life. One meant I could go out every day of the month without the continual worry of embarrassment, the other meant a good nights sleep without excruciating cramp interrupting almost nightly as had happened for months on end together with swollen painful legs.
